Pfc. Zachary P. Boyer, honor graduate of platoon 2066, awaits graduation at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., Sept. 5, 2014. Boyer, a New Port Richey, Fla. native, was recruited by Staff Sgt. Shamal D. Isaac, a recruiter from Marine Corps Recruiting Sub Station Port Richey, Recruiting Station Orlando. Recruit training signifies the transformation of a civilian to a United States Marine. Upon graduation, the newly-minted Marines will receive 10 days of leave before attending the School of Infantry East, Camp Geiger, N.C.
