A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster aircraft takes off from Lielvarde Airbase, Latvia after offloading 2nd Cavalry Regiment Strykers the night of Sept. 5, 2014 as part of NATO Exercise Steadfast Javelin II. Steadfast Javelin II is a NATO exercise involving over 2,000 troops from ten nations and takes place across Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.
