    SPMAGTF-South trains with Peruvians

Petty Officer 2nd Class Gabriel Besa, a Navy hospital corpsman with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South, and a native of Pearland, Texas, introduces himself to Peruvian Marines at the beginning of a combat lifesaver class taught by U.S. and Peruvian Sailors during a theater security cooperation bi-lateral exchange at Peruvian Marine Corps Base Ancon, Peru, Aug. 31, 2014. During the exchange, U.S. Sailors had the opportunity to share tactics from their Combat Lifesaver course as part of a TSC event with SPMAGTF-South. Through close cooperation, the U.S. and its partners are ready to address transnational security challenges through integrated and coordinated approaches. SPMAGTF-South is currently embarked aboard the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) in support of her maiden transit, "America Visits the Americas." (U.S. Marine Corps Photo by Cpl.
