Staff Sgt. Frank S. Chisowsky, the course director of the analytic methods group, 2nd Intelligence Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force, and a native of Hazleton, Pa., provides feedback on solutions presented by soldiers with the British Army’s 5, 6, and 7 Military Intelligence Battalions, all part of 1 Intelligence Surveillance Target Acquisition Brigade, after a critical and creative thinking application as part of exercise Phoenix Odyssey, Sept. 9, 2014. The soldiers broke into small groups to create a solution for a scenario presented by 2nd Intel Bn, to test their abilities in the application of critical and creative thinking. For the first three training days of Phoenix Odyssey, the Marines are presenting their British counterparts with classes on their Structured Analytic Techniques. The following six days will consist of a scenario-driven field exercise to increase familiarity with the techniques and strengthen bilateral capabilities.
