Carl Priechenfried (middle), the commanding officer of 2nd Intel Bn, II MEF, and native of Lawrenceville, Ga., present certificates of completion to British soldiers of the 5, 6, and 7 Military Intelligence Battalion, 1 Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Brigade, after three days of instruction in Structured Analytic Techniques as part of Exercise Phoenix Odyssey, Sept. 8-11, 2014. The dozens of discussions and practical application activities conducted over the days of training were designed to provide the British soldiers insight into the techniques, procedures and language of the Marine intelligence community. The two forces will now begin the seven-day field exercise portion of Exercise Phoenix Odyssey.
