Matthew Luce, a cavalry scout assigned to Troop B, 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, maintains his sector of fire while his leadership conducts a morning meeting with the local Iraqi police, Feb. 27. Luce, a native of Windham, Maine, and his fellow paratroopers meet and patrol with their Iraqi security force partners daily to keep the local population safe.
