Soldiers from the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry Regiment "Old Guard" salute a replica of the flag that inspired 1st Lt. Francis Scott Key to write what would become our national anthem. The 30-by-42 foot flag has 15 stars, 15 stripes and was hand stitched just like the original Star-Spangled Banner. The replica was flown at the exact location and time that Key observed from the Baltimore Harbor on the truce ship "The President."
