Sgt. Maj. Brad Owens, of Killeen, Texas, and operations sergeant major for Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry, 1st Brigade Combat Team of the 1st Cavalry Division out of Fort Hood, Texas, swings a sledgehammer to assist the Soldiers of Company C in unloading their armor assets from a rail-head near Drawsko-Pomorskie, Poland, Sept. 28, 2014. Company C is composed its M1-A1 Abrams Tanks and several other armor elements including M-2 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles and M-88 Armored Recovery Vehicles. The vehicles will participate in the ongoing Operation Atlantic Resolve that is meant to unify the relationship and improve interoperability with our U.S. NATO allies in the region.
