U.S. Navy civilian firefighters assigned to U.S. Naval Support Activity (NSA) Souda Bay stand ready to assist at the scene of a large brush fire that threatened several local residences and an Hellenic army installation's fuel storage area. NSA responded to the blaze with two emergency vehicles and six Navy civilian firefighters after receiving an urgent request for assistance from local Greek officials. The blaze was brought under control with the help of a firefighting helicopter using a Bambi bucket to drop water on the area. (U.S. Navy photo by Paul Farley/Released)
