Despite heavy maintenance, USS Constitution celebrated America's 233rd birthday by casting off her mooring lines and getting underway during its annual July 4 cruise. At noon, the world's oldest commissioned ship afloat sounded her saluting battery 21 times before returning to her berth in the Charlestown Navy Yard.
