Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Gary Roughead is greeted on the flight deck aboard USS George Washington (CVN 73) by the ship's commanding officer, Capt. David A. Lausman, during his arrival for a visit. Roughead is in the 7th Fleet Area of Responsibility attending the Indonesian International Fleet Review, which commemorates the 64th anniversary of that country's independence. George Washington is the Navy's only permanently forward deployed aircraft carrier, which is currently underway supporting security and stability in the Western Pacific ocean, while on her inaugural summer deployment from Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan.
