A Marine air-crewman with the Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) attached to the USS Nassau takes a final look at the CH-53 prior to a simulated damage control drill to ensure efficient emergency response during conflict or mishap onboard the USS NASSAU. The crew departed to complete a three week Composite Unit Training Exercise (COMPTUEX). COMPTUEX is designed to provide realistic training environments for the U.S. naval forces that closely replicate the operational challenges routinely encountered during military operations around the world.
