Yeoman Chief Petty Officer (Surface Warfare) Christopher J. Howk (left) and Lead Firefighter Capt. Robert Zappia stand in remembrance after laying a wreath during this year's Naval Support Activity Souda Bay 9/11 memorial service. Howk was a yeoman second class assigned to the Pentagon who lost many friends in the 2001 9/11 terrorist attack that killed 125 military and civilian personnel. Howk is a native of New York and is currently assigned as the administrative officer for Maritime Prepositioning Ship Squadron ONE onboard the Container and Roll-on/Roll-off ship USNS 2nd LT John P. BOBO (T-AK 3008).
