Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command, Vice Adm. Kevin McCoy, presents a command coin to Boston Mayor Thomas Menino prior to the annual Fourth of July Flag Raising Ceremony at Boston City Hall Plaza. McCoy later spoke to the crowd of thousands and led them in the Pledge of Allegiance. The admiral's participation in the city's Independence Day ceremony was just one of his many stops on a busy schedule during Boston Navy Week. Navy Weeks are designed to show Americans the investment they have made in their Navy and increase awareness in cities that do not have a significant Navy presence.
