Petty Officer 2nd Class John Dawson, and Chief Explosive Ordanance Disposal Brian Lehtinen, from Exsposive Ordananace Disposal Mobile Unit 11 Platoon 0-2, man a fast rope attached to an HH-60H Knighthawk, assigned to the "Black Nights" of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 4, preparing to land aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. After fast roping the EOD team mans the rope in order to prevent it from being ingested into the helicopters rotors or intakes. Ronald Reagan and Carrier Air Wing 14 are underway conducting sustainment exercise in the Pacific Ocean.
