Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 1's Detail Okinawa Camp Maintenance department receive a tour of the P-8 Poseidon from Patrol Squadron (VP) 16 Sailors. NMCB 1 is currently deployed to the Pacific Area of Operations supporting ongoing construction and humanitarian operations at several detail site including Korea, Timor Leste, Cambodia, Philippines, Guam, Diego Garcia and Japan. The battalion will also deploy Sailors to participate in the upcoming bilateral and multi-lateral exercises Pacific Partnership Station, Balikatan and CARAT.
