Rear Adm. Stephen P. Metruck (right), 5th District commander, swears in Petty Officer 1st Class Ryan R. Yoraschek, officer in charge of the new Aids to Navigation Team Oak Island, as a Chief Petty Officer Tuesday Sept. 30, 2014 after a commissioning ceremony at Coast Guard Station Oak Island.
Chief Petty Officer Yoraschek and his crew are responsible for the maintenance of 513 navigational aids positioned along the Intracoastal Waterway from the southern most border of North Carolina to the southern portion of Bogue Sound, including the Cape Fear River.
