An officer with I Corps, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., secures a Humvee inside a C-17 Globemaster III for a flight to Whidbey Island, Wash., from McChord Airfield to setup an early entry command post Sept. 30. The flight was the first stage of I Corps' Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise, a training mission that prepared I Corps Soldiers to rapidly deploy and establish a command center anywhere in the Pacific.
