Sgt. Patrick T. Doll unloads a broken piece of equipment with a military forklift at Forward Operating Base Now Zad, Helmand Province, Afghanistan, March 6, 2009. The second platoon of Motor Transportation Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 3, successfully transported the forklift across the rugged terrain. The movement of heavy equipment to FOB Now Zad had never before been accomplished by CLB-3. CLB-3 is the logistics combat element of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force-Afghanistan, whose mission is to conduct counterinsurgency operations, with a focus on training and mentoring the Afghan national police. Doll is a heavy equipment operator assigned to Support Company, CLB-3.
