Captain Kate Bufton and Captain Emily Nelson, 816th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron Pilots, review flight information before they depart on a mission in a C-17 Globemaster III, March 19, 2009, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. On this particular mission Capt. Bufton and Capt. Nelson are part of an all female flight crew. Capt. Bufton hails from Charleston, S.C., and Capt. Nelson hails from Orange, Calif. Both are deployed from Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
