A weather-worn plaque gives visitors to Abraham's oasis aboard Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, a brief history of the site in both Arabic and English. Coordinated through the 7th Iraqi Army Division and Military Training Team 7, combat engineers from the 1st Combat Engineer Battalion recently undertook a renovation project designed to refurbish the oasis, a site of historical and cultural significance to the Iraqi people.
