The amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) pulls away from the U.S. naval ship John Ericsson after she passes fuel to the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5) during a replenishment at sea. Peleliu and Germantown are currently in the middle of the Amphibious Landing Exercise 2015 (PHIBLEX15), which is an annual bilateral training exercise conducted with the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Peleliu is the lead ship in the Peleliu Expeditionary Strike Group, commanded by Rear Adm. Hugh Wetherald, and is conducting joint forces exercises in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
