1st Lt. John O’Brien, platoon leader, B Co., 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, and Lithuanian school children take a group picture Oct. 8, during a static display of U.S. and Lithuanian vehicles and equipment. During the event, members of the Lithuanian public welcomed U.S. Soldiers to the former Soviet-bloc nation. Soldiers of the 2nd Bn., 8th Cav. Reg., and the 1st Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, are in Lithuania as part of Atlantic Resolve, a multinational combined arms exercise taking place across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. U.S. Soldiers in Lithuania will conduct joint exercises with the Lithuanian Land Forces, and with small contingents from Canada, Hungary, Estonia, Germany, Luxembourg, Czech Republic and others.
