Army Chief of Staff Gen. Ray Odierno listens to a Best Warrior Competition event briefing from Sgt. 1st Class Eric Morris, noncommissioned officer in charge of the Combined Arms Support Command Warrior Training Center, today at a Fort Lee, Va., training ranging. Also pictured is Sergeant Major of the Army Raymond Chandler III. At the training site, Best Warrior competitors demonstrated their ability to overcome a variety of obstacles like transporting filled fuel cans across a rope bridge. Like other BWC tasks, it required analytical thinking, leadership skills and physical strength to move the heavy objects. During Odierno’s visit on the last day of the competition, he talked to many of the competing Soldiers and the evaluators from CASCOM. He thanked them for their professionalism and military service.
