Seminar attendees take note of the panel from the Philippine Consulate and Office of the Governor, Bohol province, Philippines, as they discuss the Bohol Earthquake and Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) during a senior leaders seminar, Oct. 9, at the Marines’ Memorial Club during the San Francisco Fleet Week 2014. The seminar was part of a two-day event with key leaders from local, state and federal government agencies, as well as first responders and senior military leaders that focused on capabilities, lessons learned from crises around the world. Because of the prevalence of natural disasters to occur, it was significant for civil and military leaders to forge key relationships.
