Command Sgt. Maj. Jeffery Stitzel, command sergeant major of U.S. Army Africa, stands ready to welcome newly arrived Marines from the Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force Crises Response 14-2, out of Moron, Spain. They arrived Oct. 9, bringing with them four MV-22 Ospreys. The Ospreys arrived in order to provide support for Operation United Assistance. The U.S. Agency for International Development is the lead U.S. government organization for Operation United Assistance. U.S. Africa Command is supporting the effort by providing command and control, logistics, training and engineering assets to contain the Ebola virus outbreak in West African nations.
