"The Commandant's Own," The United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps performed in exhibition during the Echoes in the Valley Band Competition in Mechanicsburg, Pa., on Saturday. Following the performance, the Director of the United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, Major Brian Dix, was inducted into the Mansfield University Music Department Wall of Fame. Major Dix attended Mansfield University prior to joining the United States Marine Corps over 30 years ago. Presenting the award were the Director of Mansfield Bands, Dr. Adam F. Brennan and the President of Mansfield University, Brig. Gen., USAF (Ret.) Francis L. Hendricks.
