Marines swim laps with fins during a scout swimmers course Oct. 21 at the Camp Hansen Aquatics Center. The course makes students proficient at swimming with fins for long distances, a vital skill for scout swimmers to have when they approach a beach for a raid. At the end of the three-week course the student will be qualified as basic scout swimmers and able to serve in boat raids. (U.S. Marine Corps Photo by Lance Cpl. Abbey Perria/Released)
