2nd Lt. Ashley Meister, receives the Army Materiel Command shoulder sleeve insignia former wartime service, also known as the combat patch from Chief Warrant Officer 3 John L. Olsh II, 1100th Theater Aviation Sustainment Maintenance Group S1 officer, during a ceremony at Kandahar Airfield Oct. 15. Meister, a native of Reno, Nevada who currently resides in Vienna, Virginia, is serving on her first deployment. The 1100th TASMG is a Maryland National Guard unit currently serving on their third deployment since 2005. Their mission while deployed is to provide depot to phase level maintenance for all U.S. Army aircraft and to prepare and ship aircraft in accordance with U.S. Army directives.
