Two landing craft air cushions (LCAC) assigned to Assault Craft Unit 4 (ACU 4) pass along the starboard side of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) before returning to the ship's well deck at an disclosed location in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility Aug. 5, 2014. The Mesa Verde was a part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, was deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
