Members of the Aragusuku Hometown Association climb a hill as they observe cultural assets Oct. 23 here. During a survey of land being returned to the Government of Japan, possible remnants of an Edo-era village were uncovered. Paths, a possible farming area and a limestone mining area were discovered by archeologists with the Ginowan City Board of Education. The land return is a part of an effort to continue strengthening the relationship between the U.S. and Japan. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Lena Wakayama/Released)
