Romanian Army Lt. Laurentiu Anghel, commander of an area military police company, blasts through a 5K run Oct. 24 at Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base, Romania. Anghel raced to a first-place finish in 18 minutes, 5 seconds. The route, organizers learned, actually extended a bit over the 5 planned kilometers.
