Soldiers from Bravo Battery, 1st Battalion "Arrowhead," 109th Field Artillery Regiment, 56th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, fire a 155-mm illumination rounds from the M777A2 Howitzer gun at Joint Security Station Istaqlal on April 11. "Patrols are out there watching the areas we put these illumination rounds in," said Sgt. 1st Class Mike "Smoke" Hughes, a native of Danville, Penn., and a cannon crew member platoon sergeant assigned to B Battery.
