Coast Guard members worked with National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to transport a baby orphaned Stellar Sea Lion from Washington to California, Thursday, Nov. 3, 2014, where it would be in the care of staff members from The Marine Mammal Center. In October 2014, NOAA contacted the Coast Guard to request assistance with a transfer of the pup, who was found stranded live in Ocean Shores, Wash.
