Capt. Randall Lynch, professor of Naval Science and commanding officer of the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) unit presents a certificate from the university to Lake Howell High School Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) Cadet Commanding Officer Logan Barber for his unit winning a drill meet on the ERAU campus here, Oct. 25. Teams from Lake Mary, Apopka, Cypress Creek, Vanguard, Lake Howell, and Gainesville High Schools competed in basic unarmed drill, basic armed drill, exhibition unarmed drill, exhibition armed drill and color guard. Lake Howell totaled the most points and was declared the winner of the one day meet. The certificate from ERAU states that each Lake Howell cadet participant would be eligible for a $5,000 scholarship should they chose to attend ERAU.
