Family members and friends hold up signs to greet their Sailors aboard Aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77). The ship returned to homeport Naval Station Norfolk as part of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 2 from a nine-month deployment in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility. With CVN 77 as the flagship, strike group assets include the embarked squadrons of Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 8, Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 22, and ships USS Truxtun (DDG 103), USS Roosevelt (DDG 80), and USS Philippine Sea (CG 58).
