On Sept. 19, U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Bret Batchelder (left), the Commander, Joint Enabling Capabilities Command, welcomes home Joint Communications Support Element members, U.S. Air Force Staff Sgts. Adam Maynard (right) and Jonathan Blanck (center), as the MV Cape Ray returned to its homeport, in Portsmouth, Va. The two-man JCSE team maintained uninterrupted connectivity for the duration of the mission as subject matter experts worked diligently to neutralize over 600 metric tons of Syria’s chemical weapons stockpile onboard the Cape Ray.
