First Lt. Peter C. Koerner, Joint Public Affairs Support Element, assembles a Defense Visual and Imagery Distribution System module at the Barclay Training Center in Monrovia, Liberia, Tuesday, October 28. Lieutenant Koerner is deployed with other members of JPASE to Liberia in support of Operation United Assistance, the United States Agency for International Development - led whole-of-government approach to containing the spread of the Ebola Virus Disease. DVIDS makes available real-time broadcast-quality video, still images and print products as well as immediate interview opportunities with service members, commanders and subject matter experts through a network of portable Ku-band satellite transmitters located in-theater and a distribution hub in Atlanta.
