Service members of Joint Forces Command – United Assistance deployed to Barclay Training Center, Monrovia, Liberia, participated in a 5-kilometer Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot Nov. 27, 2014. The fun run route took the service members outside the walls of the BTC and onto the beachside roads of Monrovia. Operation United Assistance is a Department of Defense operation in Liberia to provide logistics, training and engineering support to U.S. Agency for International Development-led efforts to contain the Ebola virus outbreak in western Africa.
