Chief Air Traffic Controller (Aviation Warfare/Surface Warfare) Curtis Malone, Naval Air Station Kingsville, retires following 20 years of service. Malone enlisted in 1995 as a fireman apprentice after graduating from Alton Senior High School. Following the successful completion of various assignments, he reported to NAS Kingsville in 2011 where he served as the control tower and flight planning branch chief, responsible for managing 55 enlisted controllers. Malone graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Aeronautics and is pursuing a master’s degree at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
