Lt. Cmdr. Wes Smith serves as a shooter as he launches an F/A-18C Hornet from the Mighty Shrikes of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 94 on the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70).
