Lt. Gen. Lloyd J. Austin III, commander of XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg, speaks to the XVIII Abn. Corps Soldiers and family members at the Officers' Club, May 5. About 434 Soldiers and civilians received awards during the ceremony for their achievements during the February 2008 through April 2009 rotation where the XVIII Abn. Corps headquarters served as the Multi-National Corps - Iraq headquarters. Austin said the deployment and joint security operations were a success. "I think our country can be proud. We can feel very proud of what we're seeing in Iraq now."
