Lance Cpl. Geovanni Deras, a small-arms repairman assigned to MAG-11 at MCAS Miramar, instructs role players in weapons handling during Marine Corps Security Cooperation Team (MCSCT) 15.1's certification exercise Dec. 3. The exercise is designed to incorporate all of the training imparted to MCSCT 15.1 by Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group in the previous four weeks of the training package. Team 15.1 is scheduled for a six-month deployment to the Central America Region in support of the Marine Corps' security cooperation mission.
