First Sgt. Gregory Waldron, Maine Army National Guard, 195th Army Band from Bangor, sings “God Bless the USA” by Lee Greenwood, while Chief Warrant Officer 3 Brady Harris, bandmaster of the 195th, conducts the band during a performance at the Seaside Pavilion in Old Orchard Beach, July 3. Part of their concert tour titled “Maine in the USA,” the band performed patriotic songs from the past and present, and recognized veterans from all five United States military branches. “We're the happy face of the Military,” said Waldron. No matter what is going on in the world, we give people an hour to forget about it, and remember some songs they used to sing. Parts of the 195th will be offering free concerts across Maine through September. (U.S. Army photo by Pfc. Adam J. Simmler, 121st Public Affairs Detachment, MEARNG)
