Service members part of Joint Forces Command – United Assistance, deployed in of support of the U.S. Agency for International Development-led mission, Operation United Assistance, compete in the first ever reindeer games at the Barclay Training Center, Monrovia, Liberia, Dec. 23, 2014. The program included a one-and-a-half-mile litter carry around the camp, casualty assessment and care, and a nine-line medical evacuation request. The friendly competition was in conjunction with the holiday season celebration going on across the JFC-UA area of operations. Operation United Assistance is a Department of Defense operation in Liberia to provide logistics, training and engineering support to U.S. Agency for International Development-led efforts to contain the Ebola virus outbreak in western Africa.
