    Chief Petty Officer Kenneth Simpson, an explosive ordnance disposal technician, assigned to the Joint Special Operations Task Force-Philippines, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Task Unit, inserts a nonelectric blasting cap attached to a length of detonation cord into an M112 demolition charge on top of live ordnance for disposal by members of the Philippine security forces. The U.S. Explosive Ordnance Disposal Task Unit continually assists Philippine security forces by offering their counterparts technical assistance and information sharing.
