Marines with 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment moved out from the woods to board an MV-22B Osprey during a simulated crisis response mission aboard Marine Corps Air Station New River, Dec. 10, 2014. In a unique departure from many exercises at Camp Lejeune, the training challenged commanders to coordinate with personnel dispersed throughout the region, recreating the geographic distances, austere conditions, and logistical difficulties the current rotations are experiencing across Africa and Europe.
