Staff Sgt. Thomas Fortner of the U.S. Army Mission Support Battalion explains different types of medical equipment the military uses to operate on Soldiers and train Army medical professionals during a tour on Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Jan. 2, 2015. The U.S. Army spoke to national influential leaders in the medical community to help bring awareness about improvements in Army medicine. "I love helping people for as long as I've been in [the Army]," Fortner said. "I've done this profession for 15 years and would do this until I die."
