Seaman Apprentice Calleigh J. Backrak, a native of Grass Valley, Calif., and Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Brent P. Garner, of Monroe, Ga., remove chocks and chains from an MH-60S Seahawk helicopter, attached to the “Wildcards” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 23, on the flight deck of dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45). Comstock is part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and, with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is deployed in support of maritime and theater security cooperation in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
