Lance Cpl. Sam Gordon, a machine gunner with Weapons Company, 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, takes a scratching from a dog tag attached to an ammo can during land navigation operations aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., Jan. 7. Approximately 40 Marines with Weapons Company, 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment participated in a 3-hour land navigation course in order to brush up on basic infantry skills.
